Gabrovo is located in the center of the country on both river banks of Yantra and on a northern slope of the ridge Stara Planina. It is the administrative center and the largest city of the Gabrovo region. Gabrovo is the Bulgarian capital of humour, in the city are held a lot of festivals of humour. In the city has many sights, for example «The house of satire and humour», in which it is possible to learn a lot of interesting about the Bulgarian humour. In Gabrovo are «Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex», it is the museum on the open air where tourists can learn more about the life of the Bulgarians.
