Nice is the most popular and important resort on the French Riviera, the city is located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur administrative region in the south-eastern part of France on the Mediterranean coast. Along the promenade of Nice stretches the long public beach from pebbles and stones. Swimming season here starts in May and ends in October, in May seawater is still pretty cool, it is well heated to late June, when temperature of seawater rises up 26 degrees. In September begins velvet season, when much less tourists and not so hot, the prices in this time is lower than in the peak tourist season.
