Etna Volcano is an active stratovolcano, the largest active volcano and the highest mountain in Italy, it is located on the east coast of Sicily. Messina and Catania is the most closely located cities to the volcano, from these very well see the eruption of Mount Etna. The volcano is located at the junction of two tectonic plates — the African and the Eurasian, at this junction was formed and other volcanoes, among them Santorini Volcano, Mount Vesuvius, and the volcanoes of Aeolian Islands.
