Buen Hombre Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located on the Atlantic coast on the north coast of the island of Haiti, 100 km west of Puerto Plata. On the beach there are several cafes, a hotel and the Kite Club Buen Hombre kiteboarding school, where you can learn to ride the big waves. Buen Hombre is a year-round surfing destination, with much better weather conditions than Cabarete due to the stronger and more consistent winds.

The climate here is drier than in other regions of the Dominican Republic, and the local nature is reminiscent of African nature. Near the beach is the village of the same name, where traditional Dominican village life is preserved. In the village of Buen Ombre you can taste local specialties and fresh seafood and fish, as well as live wild on the coast.
