New Taipei is a city and a special municipality located in the northeast of the Taiwan Island and surrounded on all sides by the Taipei City, the capital of the Republic of China (Taiwan). New Taipei has the total area about 2,053 km2 (792 sq mi), it is home to about 4 million people. Initially, the city was called as Xinbei, and on December 31, 2010, at the request of the inaugural mayor Eric Chu, it was renamed New Taipei City. This live webcam shows the Music Park in the Banqiao District in the city center of New Taipei.
