Gavrio is a fishing village located on the northwestern coast of the island of Andros, 5 ml (8.3 km) to the north of Batsi. It is one of two ports on the island of Andros providing connections to other islands and cities in Greece. ​Gavrio is located in a small bay on the Aegean Sea and has many restaurants, bars, cafes, taverns, and hotels. Gavrio village attracts many tourists its scenic white houses, churches and sandy beaches in the area.
