About Snow King Mountain Resort
Snow King Mountain Resort, located in Jackson, Wyoming, is Wyoming’s first ski area, established in 1936 and affectionately called the “Town Hill” for its convenient in-town location just blocks from Jackson’s historic Town Square.
As a year-round destination in Teton County, the resort offers over 500 acres of skiable terrain in winter, featuring challenging slopes, night skiing, snow tubing, and the Cowboy Coaster.
In summer, it transforms into an adventure hub with hiking trails, a treetop course, alpine slide, and scenic gondola rides to the summit observatory and planetarium.

At over 6,000 feet above sea level, the resort experiences wide temperature swings, low humidity, and an average annual snowfall of 106 inches, creating reliable winter conditions and crisp summer days.
Winter (December–February): Cold and snowy, with daytime highs of 27–33°F (-3–1°C) and nighttime lows of 4–8°F (-16 to -13°C). Heavy snowfall supports excellent ski conditions.

Ski Lifts at Snow King Mountain Resort
The Snow King lift system includes 8 lifts with a total capacity of approximately 11,800 passengers per hour, efficiently serving 1,571 feet of vertical terrain. Modern upgrades, including the 2021 gondola, provide fast and scenic access to the summit while serving beginner, intermediate, and expert zones.
