Sarzana is a small town in the province of La Spezia in the Liguria region of northwestern Italy. It is located on the left bank of the Magra River on the Ligurian coast of Italy, 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) east of La Spezia. The historic center is situated in the Magra River valley, 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) north of the Ligurian Sea coast. A significant portion of Sarzana’s attractions are concentrated in the historic center of the city.
