Giacomo Matteotti Square (Italian: Piazza Giacomo Matteotti) is the main square of Sarzana, located in the heart of the city’s historic district. The square features the main facade of the city hall, the Palazzo Parentucelli, and the Palazzo Lucciardi. At the center of the square, there is a memorial dedicated to those who died in World War I. The square is home to numerous shops, boutiques, restaurants, and cafes.

Sarzana is located in the province of La Spezia of the Liguria region in northwestern Italy. The city is situated on the right bank of the Magra River, 20 km (12 mi) east of La Spezia and 9 km (6 mi) from the Ligurian Sea coast. The city’s area is 34 km² (13 sq mi), with a population of about 21,000 residents.

Sarzana is a beautiful city with typical Italian architecture, featuring ancient churches and palaces.
