L’Ametlla de Mar is a small resort town located in the province of Tarragona within the autonomous community of Catalonia in northeastern Spain. It is situated on the Mediterranean coast, surrounded by mountains, 54 kilometers (34 miles) southwest of Tarragona, the provincial capital. The town has a population of about 7,000 people and covers an area of approximately 66.8 square kilometers (25.8 square miles).
L’Ametlla de Mar is a popular resort on the Costa Dorada, known for its beautiful beaches, Mediterranean climate, and relaxed atmosphere. The town is famous for its long and rugged coastline, which stretches nearly 20 kilometers (12 miles) and includes over 30 coves and beaches. Some of these beaches are sandy, while others are pebbly.
