The Island of Albarella (Isola di Albarella) is a small private resort island on the Adriatic coast of Italy, located in the province of Venice within the territory of the Po Delta National Park, 80 km (50 miles) south of Venice. The island is approximately 5 km (3 miles) long and just over 1.5 km (1 mile) wide. It is connected to the mainland Italy by a causeway bridge. Albarella Island is renowned for its rich flora and fauna, boasting over 150 species of trees as well as numerous animals and birds. The island derives its name from the poplar tree Arborea, which also flourishes here.
The resort island features a well-developed tourism infrastructure and is among the most prestigious and well-equipped resorts on the Adriatic. It offers luxurious hotels, cozy apartments and villas, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants serving both Italian and international cuisine. Bike rentals, a golf club, and a marina are available.
