The Pachia Ammos Beach is the largest and most popular beach in the town of Paleochora in Greece, located in the bay of the Libyan Sea to the west of the Old Town. The beach is about 750 m long and up to 120 m wide at its widest place. The beach is covered with fine golden sand and has a gentle entrance to the seawater. There are a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars and hotels nearby. Paleochora is the popular resort town in Greece located on a small peninsula 700 m long and 400 m wide on the southwestern coast of Crete, 77 km south of Chania and 200 km west of Heraklion. The main attraction of Palaiochora is the 13th century Venetian castle also known as Selino Castelli (or Selino Kastelli) located on climbing above the town. Paleochora is famous its warm Mediterranean climate and many picturesque beaches.
