Brief Information about Amalfi

Amalfi is a seaside town in the province of Salerno, in the Campania region of southern mainland Italy. It is situated on the northern coast of the Gulf of Salerno in the Tyrrhenian Sea, 40 kilometers (25 miles) west of Salerno and 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of Naples. Amalfi is the center of the picturesque Amalfi Coast, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.

Amalfi is located on the rocky slopes of the southern shore of the Sorrento Peninsula and is rightfully one of the most scenic towns in all of Italy.
