Amalfi is the main resort of the Amalfi Coast in the Campania region in southwestern Italy, situated on the slopes of the southeastern part of the Sorrento Peninsula. Amalfi is located on a narrow strip of coastline between steep cliffs and the Mediterranean Sea, approximately 35 kilometers (22 miles) southeast of Naples. It is one of the most beautiful resorts in Italy and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This region is known for its steep cliffs, terraced vineyards, and lemon groves.
