Lloret Beach (Spanish: Platja de Lloret de Mar) is situated right in the heart of the resort town of Lloret de Mar and is one of the largest and most popular beaches on the Costa Brava. It stretches approximately 1.63 kilometers (about 1 mile) in length and is about 45 meters (148 feet) wide. The beach is covered with coarse, white sand and is well-equipped with numerous amenities, including the rental of beach umbrellas and sun loungers, showers, changing rooms, and restrooms. Lifeguards are on duty during the holiday season to ensure safety. The beach also offers various water sports activities such as parasailing and water skiing. A promenade paved with red bricks runs along the entire length of the beach, featuring benches for rest and convenient access points to the beach.

Lloret de Mar is the largest and one of the most popular resorts on the Costa Brava in Catalonia and is the most visited resort on the entire Mediterranean coast of Spain. It is located in the province of Girona in the northern part of Catalonia, about 75 kilometers (46 miles) north of Barcelona. Lloret de Mar is renowned for its well-developed tourist infrastructure, featuring numerous hotels, apartments, shops, restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs. The town offers various attractions, including museums, water parks, city parks, and botanical gardens. Lloret de Mar is an ancient town with a history spanning several centuries. The first mentions of the town date back to 966 AD as the settlement of Loredo. Today, it is home to approximately 40,000 residents and covers an area of 48 square kilometers (about 18.5 square miles).
