Alassio is a resort city in the Liguria region of northwestern Italy, located on the Ligurian Sea coast, 5.5 km (3.4 mi) southwest of Albenga and 99 km (61.5 mi) southwest from Genoa. The city covers an area of 17 km² (6.6 sq mi) and has a population of about 11,000 people. In the northernmost part of the city is Marina di Alassio, a yacht and boat dock, accommodating 550 vessels ranging from 5 to 30 meters in length. The port features a diving center where you can learn diving and explore the seabed near Gallinara Island, located 1.6 km (1 mi) away.
