Boccadasse is a charming and colorful fishing village and an old seaside neighborhood of Genoa. It is located in the eastern part of the city, near the main seaside promenade Corso Italia, approximately 3 km (1.9 miles) east of the city center of Genoa. It is easily accessible on foot, by bike, or by public transport. Boccadasse is known for its narrow pebble beach on the eastern side of the Santa Chiara promontory. At the top of the promontory stands the Santa Chiara Castle, which resembles a medieval fortress, and in the center of the district is another very small stone beach.

The Santa Chiara Castle gives the area a sense of antiquity and offers stunning views of the Ligurian Sea. The small pebble beach in the heart of Boccadasse is perfect for a quiet retreat surrounded by bright, historic houses. Boccadasse is famous for its restaurants where you can enjoy the freshest fish and seafood. The district has retained its traditional Italian charm. In the bay, you can see moored fishing boats, and the narrow streets and colorful old buildings remind you of the times when the area was a fishing village. All this makes Boccadasse one of the most popular tourist spots in Genoa.
