Ibiza Island is located in the Mediterranean Sea, east of the Spanish mainland, and is part of the Balearic archipelago, which belongs to Spain. The island has an area of 571 km² and is home to about 133,700 inhabitants. Ibiza City is the capital and the largest settlement on the island.
