Bari Sardo is a picturesque commune in the province of Nuoro, located on the eastern coast of the island of Sardinia, 120 km (75 miles) northeast of the island’s capital, Cagliari. The center of the commune is situated 3 km (1.9 miles) from the sea. Bari Sardo has a population of just over 4,000 residents and covers an area of about 37.5 square kilometers (14.5 square miles). Bari Sardo is renowned for its stunning coastline and beautiful beaches.

The main attraction of Bari Sardo is its very wide and long sandy beach, stretching along the Mediterranean coast for approximately 8 km (5 miles). The beach is covered with fine golden sand and offers visitors rental umbrellas and sunbeds, showers, toilets, diving schools, bars, and restaurants. There is ample parking nearby. Close to the beach is the historic Spanish tower, Torre di Bari, built in the 16th century to protect the area from pirate attacks. Today, it remains one of the most famous landmarks of the commune.
