Tübingen is university city in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg in southeastern Germany, located on the banks of the Neckar River 40 kilometers south of Stuttgart. The city is home to the the Eberhard Karl University of Tübingen, so a third of the population of the city are students.

Tübingen is one of the oldest cities in Germany with many historical monuments, and well known are of Bebenhausen Monastery, Botanical Garden of the University of Tübingen and the Naturpark Schönbuch located just north of the city. The Market Square whith old historic houses located in the heart of Tübingen’s Old Town and is the main place for festivals and holidays in the city.
