Sankt Anton am Arlberg is a historic and prestigious ski resort in Austria, located in the federal state of Tyrol, about 100 kilometers (62 miles) west of Innsbruck. The resort is renowned for its rich history, diverse ski terrain, well-developed infrastructure, and breathtaking Alpine scenery. The center of the village of St. Anton sits at an elevation of 1,304 meters (4,278 feet) above sea level, while the highest point of the resort is the Valluga peak, which rises to 2,811 meters (9,222 feet).

St. Anton am Arlberg is part of Ski Arlberg, the largest interconnected ski area in Austria, featuring over 300 kilometers (186 miles) of groomed slopes and approximately 200 kilometers (124 miles) of off-piste and freeride terrain. The area is served by 85 modern lifts, including gondolas, chairlifts, and drag lifts. The ski season typically runs from early December through the end of April. The resort’s infrastructure includes hotels, guesthouses, apartments, restaurants, bars, cafés, ski schools, nightclubs, and museums—among them the famous après-ski venues Krazy Kanguruh and MooserWirt.

Galzig is one of the central ski areas within St. Anton, located around the mountain of the same name, which stands at an elevation of approximately 2,185 meters (7,169 feet) above sea level. The area is easily accessible via the state-of-the-art Galzigbahn cable car, situated in the western part of the village. Galzig is directly connected to other sections of Ski Arlberg and offers seamless access to the Valluga peak via the Vallugabahn lift. This area features a wide variety of ski runs suitable for all levels, from beginner to expert. It includes challenging black diamond trails, extensive freeride zones, and the legendary 9-kilometer (5.6-mile) downhill run from the Valluga summit all the way to the village of St. Anton, with a dramatic vertical drop of 1,350 meters (4,429 feet).
