Grau Roig Ski Resort Webcam, Andorra
The panoramic webcam shows the Grau Roig ski resort in Andorra.
Grau Roig is one of the highest and most scenic sectors of Grandvalira, Andorra’s largest ski resort complex. It is located in the eastern part of the country, between the towns of Pas de la Casa and Soldeu, within the parishes of Encamp and Canillo. Unlike other areas of the resort, Grau Roig has no village of its own — only a parking lot, ski lifts, a few restaurants, and a hotel. Because of this, the area is considered the most “wild” and tranquil sector of Grandvalira, with particularly beautiful views of the high mountain valleys and Pyrenean peaks.
The sector is located at elevations ranging from approximately 6,725 feet (2,050 meters) to 8,660 feet (2,640 meters) above sea level. The northern exposure of the slopes and the high altitude ensure reliable snow cover from December through April. Grau Roig has many runs of varying difficulty levels, but it is especially known for its wide red and black descents, suitable for confident skiers and snowboarders. At the same time, there are convenient blue runs for beginners, as well as Kids Forest children’s zones. Grau Roig is connected by lifts to the neighboring sectors of Pas de la Casa and Soldeu, making it easy to access all 130 miles (210 km) of Grandvalira’s slopes.
The Grau Roig ski sector is considered one of the best places in Andorra for freeride and active winter recreation off the marked trails. It features off-piste zones, ski touring routes, and three marked itineraries. This sector is also home to the only certified Speed Skiing track on the Iberian Peninsula, where World Cup events are regularly held. In addition to skiing, visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, dog sledding, and snowmobile rides.
