The panoramic webcam shows the Soldeu sector at the Grandvalira ski resort in Andorra.
Grandvalira is the largest ski resort in Andorra and the entire Pyrenees region. The resort unites seven interconnected sectors and offers approximately 130–134 miles (210–215 km) of prepared slopes, serviced by more than 65 modern lifts. The elevation reaches 8,660 feet (2,640 meters), and most slopes face north, ensuring that snow typically lasts from December through mid-April. Grandvalira is suitable for virtually every skill level. The resort features wide learning slopes for beginners, long blue and red runs for intermediate skiers, as well as black descents, freeride zones, and several snowparks.
One of the most popular and convenient sectors is Soldeu. It is located almost in the center of the entire Grandvalira zone, at an elevation of approximately 5,900 feet (1,800 meters), making it easy to reach the rest of the slopes. The village of Soldeu itself is small, but it is home to many hotels, restaurants, and the main ski infrastructure. The sector is known for its wide, well-groomed runs that suit both beginners and experienced skiers. For newcomers, there are spacious learning zones and one of the best ski schools in Andorra. More advanced skiers come here for the famous Avet run — one of the most challenging and renowned trails in the country.
The Soldeu sector is valued for its high level of service. Numerous four- and five-star hotels are located right on the slopes, along with several high-altitude restaurants and one of the best après-ski areas in Andorra. In the evening, bars, clubs, and restaurants come to life, while during the day, children’s zones and family-friendly facilities are available. Thanks to its combination of convenient location, quality slopes, and well-developed tourist infrastructure, the Soldeu sector is considered the most versatile and prestigious area of Grandvalira.
