Live Webcam Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium, Finland

The Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium is located in the North Karelia region of Eastern Finland, 100 km from the Russian-Finnish border and 15 km north of Joensuu, the administrative center of the province. The biathlon complex “Kontiolahti” is a popular year-round training center for national and foreign athletes due to the large amount of snow and the high quality of the tracks.

Cross-country skiing and shooting competitions as well as biathlon World Cup events are regularly held here. The stadium hosted the Biathlon World Championships in 1999 and 2015. It has a wide, 1.5 km-long cross-country ski trail, and thanks to refrigeration units, the trails are opened every year at the beginning of October, before the natural snow cover appears.
