Friedrichshafen is a small town located on the northern shore of Lake Constance in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany, 129 kilometers southwest of Munich. It was founded in 1811 by the merger of the old town of Buchhorn with the village and monastery of Hofen by order of King Friedrich I, the first King of Württemberg. Today, the city covers an area of 69.91 km² and is home to about 59,000 people. This overview live webcam is mounted on the Graf-Zeppelin-Haus exhibition hall and shows the city’s coastline and the marina where the Friedrichshafen Yacht Club is based.
