Linz attracts visitors with its unique blend of historical charm and modern innovation. In 2009, it was named a European Capital of Culture, highlighting its cultural significance. Among the city’s main attractions are the Old Town—featuring narrow streets, the Hauptplatz square, and baroque architecture—the Pöstlingberg hill, which rises to 539 meters (1,768 feet) and offers panoramic views of the city along with a church at its summit, the Lentos Museum of Modern Art, and the Ars Electronica Center, also known as the Museum of the Future. The latter is dedicated to digital art and technology and is renowned for its interactive exhibits and the annual Ars Electronica Festival.
