Mösern (German: Mösern) is a small, picturesque alpine village located in the federal state of Tyrol in western Austria. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,245 meters (4,085 feet) above sea level, it is part of the market town of Telfs and belongs to the Olympiaregion Seefeld tourism region. Mösern lies on the southern edge of the Seefeld Plateau, perched above the Inn Valley, about 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) west of Innsbruck and 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from the popular ski resort of Seefeld. Thanks to its elevated location and sweeping views of the Inn Valley and surrounding Alps, the village is affectionately known as the “Swallow’s Nest of Tyrol. Mösern has a population of approximately 272 residents and covers an area of about 0.341 square kilometers (0.132 square miles).

The local economy is primarily focused on tourism, especially sustainable and tranquil nature-based travel. The village features hotels, restaurants, and shops, along with artisan workshops that produce traditional crafts such as handmade fences and lanterns. Among the main attractions in Mösern are the Friedensglocke (Peace Bell)—the largest free-hanging bell in the Alps; the Chapel on Calvary Hill, built in 1830; and the Baroque Church of the Visitation of Mary, featuring altar paintings by the artist Paul Zeiler, dated 1701. A favorite destination for relaxation is Lake Mösern (German: Möserer See), one of the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol, nestled in a serene forest setting. In summer, the lake offers pleasant swimming conditions with water temperatures often reaching around 25°C (77°F).
