Todi is a small town in the province of Perugia in the Umbria region of central mainland Italy. It is located atop a hill that rises above the eastern bank of the Tiber River, about 45 km (28 miles) south of Perugia. Todi was founded in the 7th century BCE and is one of the oldest and most picturesque towns in the Umbria region. Todi is known for its narrow cobblestone streets, medieval monuments, and ancient churches. The town has a population of about 17,000 residents and covers an area of 223 square kilometers.

Piazza del Popolo (Italian: Piazza del Popolo) is the main square of Todi, located in the heart of the town and considered one of the most beautiful squares in Umbria. It is home to several historical and architectural landmarks, including the Cathedral of the Most Holy Annunciation (Italian: Concattedrale della Santissima Annunziata) and three ancient palaces: Palazzo del Capitano, Palazzo dei Priori, and the 16th-century Palazzo Cesi.
