Einbeck is a town in the district of Northeim in the southern part of Lower Saxony. It located in northwestern Germany, 69 km south of Hannover, the capital and largest city of Lower Saxony. It has an area of 165 km² and is home to 26,400 residents. The main attraction of Einbeck is the wedge-shaped Market Square (Marktplatz), located in the heart of the old town. There are the Breadhouse, built in 1552, the half-timbered houses of the 16th century and the historic Old Town Hall with 3 towers, built in the 16th century, which is the symbol of Einbeck.
