Pori is a town located on the banks of the Kokemääenjoki River, 30 kilometers east of the Gulf of Bothnia of the Baltic Sea in southwestern Finland. Pori is the eleventh most populous city in Finland and one of the country’s six medieval cities.

It was founded in 1558 by Duke Johan of Finland as a sufficiently fortified trading center to replace the town of Ulvila, which did not have the capacity to build defensive structures.

The city currently has a population of about 83,427. Today it is an important industrial, port and commercial city in Finland. The live webcam shows the southern bank of the Kokemäenjoki River in the center of Pori.
