Oostduinkerke Coast Live Webcam, Belgium
The live webcam provides a panoramic view of the coastline of Oostduinkerke, Belgium.
Oostduinkerke is a coastal resort and suburb of the town of Koksijde, located on the North Sea in the province of West Flanders in southwestern Belgium. It was formerly an independent municipality but has since become part of the Koksijde administrative area. The name Oostduinkerke, which translates from Dutch as “East Dunkirk,” was first used in the 13th century to avoid confusion with the French city of Dunkirk, located approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) to the southwest.
Oostduinkerke is nestled among sand dunes, which are designated as a protected nature reserve. Stretching along its shoreline is a vast sandy beach that continues all the way to the city of Dunkirk. During low tide, the beach spans between 50 and 250 meters wide (165 to 820 feet) and stretches for more than 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) in length.
