Warendorf is a picturesque town and the county seat of Warendorf District in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the northeast of Germany, 30 km east of Münster and 52 km west of Bielefeld. It has an area of 177 km² and is home to about 38,000 inhabitants. Warendorf is one of the traditional picturesque German towns with historical monuments and beautiful German architecture.

The Old Town with old houses from the 17th and 18th century with red tiled roofs, and the Market Square with the Old Town Hall are located in the the central part of Warendorf. Many half-timbered buildings have been preserved in the town. Near the Market Square is the Catholic Church of St. Lawrence (German: St. Laurentius-Kirche), built in the Gothic style in the early 15th century. St. Laurentius Church dominates the architectural appearance of Warendorf, its tower overlooking the historic center and the Market Square.
