Biberach, or full name Biberach an der Riß, is a city in the southern part of the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwestern Germany, located 135 km south of Stuttgart, and 200 km west of Munich. It was founded in 1281 by decree of King Frederick II. Today it has an area of 72.2 km² and about 32,354 inhabitants. The main attractions of Biberach is its medieval architecture with ancient churches, towers, medieval city walls and gates.
