About Rapallo

Rapallo (Italian: Rapallo) is a small town and prestigious resort in Italy, located on the shore of the Gulf of Tigullio (Golfo del Tigullio) of the Ligurian Sea, 30 kilometers (19 miles) southeast of Genoa. Rapallo is one of the oldest towns in Italy, with its first mentions as a small village within the boundaries of the Genoese Republic dating back to 964. The town has a population of about 30,000 people and covers an area of 34 square kilometers (13 square miles).

Rapallo is well known for its historic center (Old Town Rapallo), the famous Vittorio Veneto Promenade (Lungomare Vittorio Veneto), picturesque bays with pebble and sandy beaches, and numerous architectural and historical landmarks.
