Saline of the Laguna Live Webcam, Marsala

The Ettore and Infersa salt pans are located on the shores of Saline Della Laguna, a lagoon connected to the Tyrrhenian Sea, at the westernmost point of Sicily, 9.5 kilometers (5.9 miles) north of central Marsala. These salt pans feature windmills used for processing harvested salt, with the largest and most productive being the Infersa mill, built in the 16th century in the shape of a Dutch star. Tours of the mill offer insights into the methods of salt extraction and processing.

Within Saline Della Laguna lies the small island of Mozia, which hosts an open-air museum displaying unique archaeological finds and detailing the region’s history.
