Riomaggiore is a small and picturesque Italian town in the province of La Spezia in the Liguria region in northern Italy. It is one of the five towns of the Cinque Terre National Park (Italian: Parco nazionale delle Cinque Terre), along with the communes of Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Monterosso. Riomaggiore is situated on coastal cliffs along the Ligurian Sea, about 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) south of Manarola, with which it is connected by the famous Via dell’Amore. The town was founded in the early 13th century. Today, it has a population of approximately 1,485 people.

Riomaggiore is the easternmost and southernmost of all the towns in the Cinque Terre National Park and is known for its buildings with brightly colored facades, ancient churches, narrow streets, and stone staircases. On its coast, there is a small rocky beach called Spiaggia di Riomaggiore. The main attractions of Riomaggiore include the Gothic church of San Giovanni Battista, built in 1340, the 13th-century Riomaggiore Castle, and Via Colombo, which is lined with numerous restaurants, shops, boutiques, and souvenir stores.
