Itajai is a port city located at the mouth of the Itajai-Acu River in the state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil, 600 km south of Sao Paulo and 15 km north of the resort city of Balneario Camboriu. Itajai is the main seaport in Santa Catarina and the second largest seaport in Brazil. In the city located the headquarters of the country’s largest fishing port.
