Daxi District (Chinese: 大溪區) is a historic district in the eastern part of Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its traditional cuisine, scenic parks, and cultural heritage. The district covers an area of about 105 square kilometers and is home to approximately 94,000 residents. Taoyuan City is the fifth largest city in Taiwan, located in the northwest of the island, about 24 km southwest of New Taipei (Xinbei) and 44 km southeast of Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. The city covers an area of 1,221 square kilometers and has a population of around 2.4 million people.
