The Xindian River (Chinese: 新店溪) is a relatively small river in the northwest of Taiwan, forming part of the border between New Taipei City and Taipei, the capital of the Republic of China (Taiwan). It is the main source of drinking water for Taipei, supplying more than 4 million residents. The riverbanks are lined with green city parks, playgrounds, sports fields, courts, and walking paths. From the banks of the Xindian River, visitors can enjoy scenic views of both New Taipei City and Taipei.
