Live webcam streams real-time views of Tokyo Skytree, the television tower located in Tokyo, Japan.
Tokyo Skytree is the tallest broadcasting tower in the world and the second-tallest structure after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Its full height, including the antenna, reaches 634 meters (2,080 feet). For comparison, the old Tokyo Tower stands at 332.6 meters (1,091 feet). The tower is located in Tokyo’s Sumida district and was built primarily for digital TV broadcasting, radio transmissions, and modern telecommunications. Construction was completed in February 2012, and the tower officially opened on May 22, 2012. Its architectural style blends neofuturism with elements of traditional Japanese design.
Tokyo Skytree is one of Tokyo’s most famous landmarks and a central attraction within the large Tokyo Skytree Town complex, which includes a shopping mall, restaurants, an aquarium, and a planetarium. The tower features two observation decks — the Tembo Deck (around 350 m) and the Tembo Galleria (around 450 m) — offering panoramic views of the city. The Tembo Deck also includes a glass-floor section that lets visitors look straight down at the city below. At night, the tower is illuminated with LED lighting that changes between several lighting themes.
