Davao (locally known as Dabaw) is the largest city in the Philippines by land area and the administrative center of the Davao Region. It is located in the southeastern part of Mindanao, along the shores of the Davao Gulf in the Philippine Sea. The city covers approximately 2,443.61 km² and has a population of over 1.9 million people.
