Swan Lake Live Webcam, New Athos

Swan Lake is one of the most beautiful and popular natural attractions in Abkhazia. It is located within the Natural Park on the Black Sea coast, in the central part of New Athos. The lake was created in the early 1880s by monks of the New Athos Monastery. In the middle of the lake stands the “Swan” café, where visitors can enjoy Russian, Caucasian, and local cuisine, along with a variety of drinks and cocktails. From the café, guests can take in scenic views of the lake and its graceful swans.
In 1908, the Seaside Park was laid out around the lake, featuring numerous exotic plants and trees. Not far from the park, at the foot of Mount Athos, lies the famous New Athos Monastery, founded in 1875 by monks from the Russian Monastery of St. Panteleimon. Just across the main road stretches the Black Sea coastline, with its long, sandy beaches. On the shore of Swan Lake stands the Chapel of Alexander Nevsky.
