Narita International Airport (IATA: NRT, ICAO: RJAA) is one of Tokyo’s major airports, located in the city of Narita in the eastern part of Greater Tokyo, about 75 km from the center of the Japanese capital. It ranks first in Japan and third in the world in cargo throughput, and second in Japan in passenger traffic. A significant share of Japan’s international passenger flights is handled by Narita Airport. It also serves as a key transit hub for flights traveling between North and South America and Asia.
Narita is the primary hub for Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, as well as a major base for U.S. carriers such as Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. The airport features two separate terminals and two runways measuring 4,000 meters and 2,500 meters.
