City Administration Building Live Webcam, Sukhum, Abkhazia

The Sukhum City Administration Building is one of the most beautiful and architecturally significant landmarks of the city. It was built in 1914 and features a four-story design in the neoclassical style. The tower with its clock and spire makes the building one of the most recognizable and elegant structures in Sukhumi. The clock was a gift to the city from the Moscow City Council in 1950.

The building is located at the corner of Leon Avenue and Pobedy (Victory) Avenue in the central part of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from the seaport and Sukhum’s seaside promenade. Nearby attractions include the Park of Glory with its memorial to fallen Abkhazian soldiers, the Drama Theater, the Main Post Office building, and the ancient Sukhum Fortress. Just a five-minute walk away lies Freedom Square, home to the abandoned 12-story building that once housed the Supreme Council of the Abkhazian ASSR.
