Khan Shatyr is the largest shopping and entertainment center in Kazakhstan and a unique architectural landmark in the world. It is situated on Turan Avenue in the Yesil district of Astana, the capital and second largest city of Kazakhstan.

The mall is designed as a huge Kazakh tent, standing 150 meters tall, making it the largest tent structure in the world. Its name translates from Kazakh as “Khan among tents.” The total area of the structure is 127,000 square meters. Beneath the semi-transparent dome of the tent are over 200 shops and boutiques, a large supermarket, numerous cafes and restaurants, a gym, the Fame City entertainment center, a water park, and a 3D cinema.

Khan Shatyr is renowned for housing Kazakhstan’s only tropical resort, the Sky Beach Club, which features a white sandy beach with sand imported from the Maldives. The club includes two swimming pools, a sauna, and a jacuzzi. Nearby the mall are popular landmarks of Astana such as Lovers Park, Nurzhol Boulevard, the Bayterek monument, and the Presidential Palace Akorda.
