YTN Seoul Tower — also known as Namsan Tower or N Tower — is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and a major symbol of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Located at the summit of Namsan Mountain in the heart of the city, the tower rises 236 meters (774 ft) above ground level. Completed in 1971, it became the first broadcast and communication tower in the country and continues to transmit signals for major networks such as KBS, MBC, SBS, TBS, CBS, and others.
Namsan Tower is recognized as a nationally significant architectural landmark and plays a key role in Seoul’s cityscape. More than 8 million visitors from around the world come here every year, making it one of South Korea’s most popular attractions and one of the 50 most famous observation decks globally. Visitors can reach the top of Namsan Mountain by cable car or via scenic walking trails.
