Khan Shatyr is the largest shopping and entertainment center and a unique architectural landmark in Kazakhstan, shaped like a huge 4-story Kazakh yurt standing 150 meters tall. Khan Shatyr is the largest tent structure in the world, and its name means “khan among tents” in Kazakh.
The mall covers a total area of 127,000 square meters. It houses over 200 shops and boutiques, one of the largest supermarkets in Kazakhstan, numerous restaurants and cafes, a water park with pools and slides, fitness centers, and a six-screen cinema equipped with the latest technology.
A special feature and pride of Khan Shatyr is its own tropical resort, the Sky Beach Club, with two pools and a pristine white sandy beach, with sand imported from the Maldives. The Khan Shatyr complex also offers a spacious parking lot for 700 cars. From the webcam installed at the entrance to Khan Shatyr, you can see the Lovers’ Park, beyond which lie Nurzhol Boulevard, the Bayterek monument, and the Presidential Residence Akorda.
