Singapore is a modern city-state located on 63 islands in Southeast Asia. It borders Malaysia to the north and is washed by the waters of the Singapore Strait to the south. Due to its proximity to the equator, Singapore has an equatorial climate with abundant rainfall and minimal seasonal temperature changes: highs can reach around 36°C (97°F), while lows rarely fall below 20°C (68°F).
