Kanazawa is the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture, located on the coast of the Sea of Japan between the Sai and Asano Rivers on Honshu, the largest island of the Japanese archipelago. The city covers an area of approximately 467.7 km² and has a population of around 464,000. Kanazawa is renowned for its rich history, culture, and Edo-period architecture.
