This live webcam provides a real-time view of Downtown Singapore in Southeast Asia.
Singapore is an independent city-state located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, along the Singapore Strait. It consists of one main island and more than 60 smaller islands connected by bridges and causeways. The country covers approximately 728 km² and is home to over 5.7 million people. Thanks to its strategic location and rapidly growing economy, Singapore has become one of the world’s leading financial, commercial, and technology hubs. The city is known for its high level of urban development, safety, and multicultural environment that blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and European traditions.
Downtown Singapore, also known as the Downtown Core, is the city-state’s central historic and business district. It is located along the Singapore Strait, in the Marina Bay area. This district serves as the nation’s primary business and administrative center, housing the headquarters of international corporations and major banks, the Singapore Exchange, and key government institutions, including the Supreme Court and the Parliament of Singapore.
The Downtown Core is filled with modern skyscrapers reaching up to 280 meters in height. It also features some of Singapore’s most important landmarks, such as St. Andrew’s Cathedral, the Old Parliament House, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum, and the iconic Gardens by the Bay. At the heart of the district lies Raffles Place — a symbol of modern Singapore and home to some of the tallest buildings in the city.
